Memory
I have 4x1GB of RAM installed on my computer but both on Vista and XP Pro
installations (dual boot machine) System Properties show 3GB. However, the BIOS and POST when I start the computer show 4GB. It looks like one of the memory DIMMs is faulty unless the OS's only show a maximum of 3GB regardless of how much memory is installed. Should the OS show 4Gb if the memory is not faulty? |
