ATI Cards and Code 43 Error
I've got and All-In-Wonder X800XT (AGP flavor), and have been getting the
Code 43 error since Beta 2. With RC1 out and fresh new RC1 drivers from ATI as of today, this problem still isn't fixed. Obviously not a widespread problem, but very aggravating to those of us who experience it. |

Ok,
Use the native Vista drivers; they're from ATI; and work better then what ATI has on their site. No matter what their page says. Running an x1400; and the ATI website driver's screwed up; uninstalled; and just let Vista put them in; not that optional update;either; that's just the website drivers. No problems;whatsoever; since. Jeff "Bully" wrote in message ... I too am having this problem, I have a Asus AX800XT platinum 256mb AGP, Anty news on when there will be a fix? I had the same problem with my nforce3 mobo and 9600XT. I was only able to fix things, when I restored my system back to very 1st restore point after initial install. I then switched to vga-driver, deleted each and every ati file from my Vista install. Then I intalled radeon XP drivers and everything started to work. |

I get a BSOD when running other games like Nancy Drew with Direct X after some time as well. The Beta for this sytem was more stable. I just keep waiting for an update. Bob |

Bob Now I cannot load the XP drivers either. So back to XP until someone can get this figured out. |
