Windows vista - cannot install driver for printer
I keep encountering the following error when trying to install the printer
driver software : " The required section could not be found in the INF " could anyone provide any advice for this ? The printer is a HP photosmart, it's disk does not run on Vista so I have downloaded the appropriate software from the HP site. However it's still not working ? |

Windows vista - cannot install driver for printer
"Hate vista" doesn't begin to describe it - makes me CRAZY. Anyhow...
I also have a HP printer-copier-scanner that is evidently incompatible with the vista system. HP Officejet 5510 all-in-one. I was able to install it using the disk it came with, but now it just says "known compatibility issues" and closes down. My Vista system is Office Home and Student rather than the plain grown up version - could that be the problem? I've been grappling with this for a week now - pretty soon I'm going to give in to the vast conspiracy and buy a new all-in-one - grrrrr. Thanks for any advice you might have - betazed "Hate Vista !" wrote: I keep encountering the following error when trying to install the printer driver software : " The required section could not be found in the INF " could anyone provide any advice for this ?
