Default MONITOR DRIVER

What exactly is a Vista monitor driver going to do for me?
Dell has a vista driver for my monitor but my monitor is working just fine.
What will this driver do for me that I don't already have?
Please pardon the stupid question but I just don't have any idea on this.

Default MONITOR DRIVER

All the monitor .inf file does for you is to pass on the monitor I.D and
operating parameters to the O/S. It is not really a driver and, in most
cases, will not give you any improvement over what you now have.

Default MONITOR DRIVER

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

Most of folks "don't need no steenkin' monitor drivers!" (me included) - but
if you want more flexibility from the monitor (such as the ability to display
certain resolutions or to use certain features built into the monitor) then
use the drivers.

Otherwise the default Windows monitor drivers will do what you need.
