NVidia Ge Force 5200:
Installed Vista RC1 and every now and again I get the Blue Screen which
dissapears before I can read it. Sometimes during reboot the Blue Screen will appear again, as many as twice. Finally when it does bootup I get a dialog box telling me that a driver is causing the problem, a thread hanging up. Have checked for newer drivers for the Nvidia Ge Force 5200 display adaptor but there are none. Can anyone suggest a solution.-- ADH |

Check under Control Panel|PROBLEM REPORTS for possible clues |

NVidia Ge Force 5200:
I am in the same situation with the graphics card, but when I try to update
with the drivers from Nvidia's website, the setup then says that it "can't find nvidia drivers to update." Now this is clearly not true since I know this card is Nvidia GeForce 5200, and that the drivers that are installed are older than the newest Nvidia release. Anyone out there in Microsoft land ever seen this from a Nvidia Install? |

Now this is clearly not true since I know this card is Nvidia GeForce 5200, and that the drivers that are installed are older than the newest Nvidia release. Anyone out there in Microsoft land ever seen this from a Nvidia Install? I run an MSI card that utilizes NVidia FS5200. Driver 96.33 has been best thusfar, as 96.85 does not offer the 1440X900 (widescreen) resolution needed for this LCD monitor. After downloading the driver, click on its SETUP.EXE file and follow screen instructions. Do not attempt install via UPDATE DRIVER in Device Manager. NVidia suggests that older drivers should be removed in Control Panel|PROGRAMS AND FEATURES - if any is listed there - prior to installing new. Be aware that not all video adjust features will be available via the NVidia Control Panel applet; these are Beta drivers. The card should also do well with the WDM driver that is installed by Vista when the card is detected. Or, perhaps, it can be loaded via Device Manager|UPDATE|SEARCH THE NET. |
