I have only just installed Vista RC1 and everything works apart from the
sound card. I've tried using the XP drivers but Vista says that they're not
compatible. I've tried several different downloads claiming to be the right
driver but I've so far had no luck. Can you help me?

I just had the same problem. So far, I've gotten the audio part of the card
working with some XP drivers I downloaded from the CL site in 2004. They
are labelled "SB Live! Value wdm", and the file name is sblw9xup.exe.
Google seems to find them on multiple sites.

I haven't got the joystick working yet.

....and I doubt that it, or most features of the software package that
came with the card, will ever function in Vista. SB Live! Value will
not be supported, according to this Creative page...

I've just got it working by installing the creative modded driver from
http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=F...&dwn_cat_id=20 . Don't select
gamer mode on the install though. The files are corrupted or something and it
took me a while to fix it. The only problem I have it that audio stutters
slightly every now and again, but then again, I think that's the fault of a
slow processor. Everything else works fine (even Media Centre).

Joystick port (a.k.a. Gameport) support was dropped out as of Windows XP x64.
You will have to buy an USB Joystick/Gamepad for your gaming experience.

Carlos is right. I had to use the USB enabled joystick in my RealFlight R/C
simulator.
