Unknown Device in Device Manager (both x86 and x64)
On my 939 motherboard the unknown device went away after installing some
driver from the manufacturer. (some nvidia PCI root driver). It doesn't seem to have any useful function (correct me if I'm wrong please). ACP sounds like ACPI? "jannerhank" wrote in message ... I also have a simular problem. I am using Vista RC 2 64bit with a ASRock 939DUAL-VSTA motherboard. My unknown device properties Hardware I.D. = "ACP/PNPB02F" also "*PNPB02F" What is this Device, Make, and Name or any other info please? - |

Unknown Device in Device Manager (both x86 and x64)
ACPI\AWY0001
*AWY0001 *That* unknown device I recognize -- it was in all the builds up toand including 5744 and I *think* it is in the RTM but I "upgraded" from 5744 to 6000 after I had already "fixed" it. As far as I know, the error is harmless. If it annoys you, as it did me (lol), follow this link to the AMD forums: http://forums.amd.com/index.php?showtopic=80556 and then download: ftp://ftp.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socke...xe/AMDLive.zip The (supposedly) harmless unknown device error will go away. I do *not* think AMD Live gets enabled. AMD (and ASUS) still have some developing to do.
