File Icons in Widows Vista
Hi all ...
Did not see a post on this on a quick scan of the newsgroup, but was wondering if there is away to change the file icon in Windows Explorer under Vista. From what I have seen in some blogs and different sites, it might require a hack of the registry. I was wondering if there was a 'cleaner' way of modifying a file icon to make it easier to distinguish between different files (of unknown types) [for instance, if I create a new .txt file in Explorer, I get an icon that looks like a page. If I create a html file (same way, but renaming it to ..html) it uses a similar icon and no way to change it ... Any sharp and bright ideas ? Thanx Thanks so much |
