Expresscard Not Detected
Hi all, I have a 4 Port USB 2.0 Hub Expresscard for HP Pavillion with Vista
Ultimate. Device manager shows nothing about the device, does not attempt to install the device and therefor doesn't work. I have taken the device out and everything, restarted and all, but no avail. Funny thing is device manager shows averything is operational and no problems, i'm afraid it's a hardware issue but the expresscard worked just fine yesterday. Any ideas? |

Check for a BIOS update. A couple of HP models had BIOS updates in
July and October. One of them was documented to fix some issues with pccard/express cards. What exact HP do you have? I updated my BIOS and I contacted HP tech support and determined all 3 USB
ports and the expresscard were dead, I am sending it in. How do ports and cards fail like that all of a sudden, it worked fine for about 10 months.
