true when compared to USB, and now USB 2 and Wireless?

I'd stick with Ethernet or wireless if possible, no matter what the
actual connection speed. Unless the modem supports USB2, you would be
limited to 10Mbit speeds at best. Also, USB tends to have high CPU load
compared with Ethernet.
