Yes, I also have the vertical lines during boot! That's the first thing
I noticed. Too much of a coincidence to conclude the card is broken.

I managed to rename or delete the file(s) but the problem is still
there. The nVidia's .sys file is the same as the one in
windows/system32/drivers, so I don't see the point of re-copying it, as
Dwain suggested.
