Help with compatiblilty with printer and Windows Vista
I have a Microsoft Window Vista Home Premium Laptop. I received a HP
Photosmart A616 Printer for Christmas and it is not compatible to my Vista. The paper work that came with it says go to www.hp.com/go/windowsvista. Well I went there and couldn't fine anything to help me with this problem. I want to be able to print picture off my computer, not only from a memory card. Hope you can help me. Thank You,

HP & Windows Vista® » Support & Drivers and fill in your printer model and it will take you to the driver & software page for it and the files for VISTA: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...c=en&cc=us&dlc =en&product=1839067&lang=en » HP Deskjet and Photosmart Full Software and Driver 03-2007 080.001.225.000 - 95.84M Don't choose the basic driver.

Help with compatiblilty with printer and Windows Vista
In my experience with HP technical support for Photosmart C4385 and C4280 and
Windows Vista, i noticed there are lots of conflicting information. The HP website below states that the Scan button on the printers (all HP printers? HP website does not specify) does not work with Vista. And I spend 5 hours with HP technical support because they told me the button would work, and we did not make the Scan button to work. Once the Scan button is pushed, there is a Error message displayed on the screen. When you click on the HP possible solution, you are presented with an HP website that does not have anything Vista in it, only XP, 2000,etc. !!! Really confusing! The HP website is: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/g...ncodeUrl=true& The statement on this HP website contradicts the meaning of the logo "VIsta Certified" because the printer should work with Vista. But they do not (at least with my machine, PC Tablet, Toshiba Portege M400-ST4001, Vista Ultimate, 4GbRAM. My impression of HP is that it might be a case of false advertisement !Which is pretty bad !
