I want to trial vista beta2 build 5384 - but the product key I have has been used 10 times - that is the limt number for each key - Microsoft advise me they can't generate more at this time - suggested I grab one off anyone who is not going to use theirs 10 times - so is there anyone willing to give me 1 of the 10 Product key regos. When I right click in an explorer window and go to new, the only thing that shows up is 'Folder'. What happened to shortcut, and all the program file templates? I still can get them if I right click and go to 'new' on the desktop. I'm using build 5536. Thanks.

When I try and open a file say for import or just to connect to a PST file I get a file dialog box. When I click on "Computer" or "Network" I get and error saying something to the effect of "Cannot enter an internet address from this location". Hi, I'm looking at a problem that's occuring on the Vista CTP build released in august 2006. The crash didn't happen in beta 2, but now I have no symbols to give me better insight into the problem. msdl.microsoft.com doesn't seem to have any symbols. Any hints for where to get them? Thanks

As mentioned in an earlier post, after upgrading to 5536, IE no longer works for me, although all my other networking works. But, I apparently need to access a Microsoft web site to download the problem reporting tool, and it is trying to use IE to do that. Does anyone have any pointers on how to download the tool under XP and then install it on Vista? Thanks. eric

Hello. The TV tuner of my card Pinnacle PCTV Rave is not detected by Windows Vista Media Center (both on Beta 2 and on Pre-RC1, both with Windows Update drivers and with drivers provided with the card). How could I have this tuner detected by Media Center ? Thanks

In using Windows Mail as a newsgroup reader, down in the lower left side very bottom there used to be a counter of sorts stating how many messages there is and how many left unread. It's no longer there! However, in clicking on any of the mail folders, it does appear for mail count messages. Is this oddness normal or a bug? dotcom

I have a client who likes to add custom icons to all his shortcuts, including those on the Links Toolbar in IE7 (beta 3). It accepts the new icon, but once you go out of IE7b3, then it reverts to the site's Favicon. Personally, I prefer this functionality, but my client insists he wants his costom icons back. Is there an edit to the Registry or something that will facilitate this?
