Anyone know of a fix for user account pictures missing from the Manager User
Accounts window? I tried the obvious things and search around. But haven't come up with any solution yet. TIA |

Larry
I'm not sure exactly what would cause this behavior? When you go to User Accounts/Change Picture, try clicking the 'Browse for more pictures' link. Browse to the folder: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\Default Pictures. This is where all of the default pictures are stored. Select one of the pictures there to see if it replaces the current picture. If this works, exit everything and log off/log on. Check to see if this fixes the problem. -- Ronnie Vernon Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience "Larry C" wrote in message ... " m wrote in message ... I have the same problem. I don't think its just the "Pictures" I think its
the links to the users are either missing or hidden. I think this link might be what we are looking for, I'm not sure?? http://support.microsoft.com/search/...m=1&spid=11707 "Larry C" wrote: " m wrote in message ... Larry C If I go to manage groups and try to change the view of the icons all of the choices are grayed out like I do not have rights. I am the computer administrator. The hotfix from a prior link did not work. Larry C |

Larry C Hi Larry, Check Step Two in this tutorial to see if your Display Picture is set to use default pictures for all users. This will disable the option of letting you select a new one. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/15...y-picture.html Hope this helps, Shawn -- Brink *There are no dumb questions, just the people that do not ask them.* '*VISTA FORUMS*' (http://www.vistax64.com) *Please post feedback to help others.* |
