Vista Homebasic Problems
Hi,
Vista is not booting, citing acl size problems with 2 files. It cant fix them and the log says it has tried 18 times. Trying the vista upgrade repair option, but the upgrade is greyed out unless setup is run from within Vista. How can I force upgrade from DVD when I can only log on to the suite of fixit tools, or is there another options I should consider. Is there an acl repair tool I can run? Is there a location where the startup recovery tool stores its log so I can see the name of the acl that it is moaning about? It just says that it cant repair the problem. This is on a HP / compaq lappy, with 2 gig ram. Thanks for advice in advance. Aaron. |
