akamai download manager
why is it that this downmanager cannot save files outside the user's
profile folder? I do cheer the security features of vista but this is a bit too much when I decided to download vista_rc2 I couldn't save anywhere but on the system partition and inside the user folder which had just nearly enough free space left to hold the image and even then it was recreating the path under the temp folder so not even selecting another folder in the user's profile was possible I mention this because it is common to redirect a user's environment and thus would have circumvented this issue I could select a folder anywhere else but vista kept coming back that it was not allowed to save there I was using a normal user account and not an administrator account at the time, don't know if that would have chaged anything thnx |

Chris, Do yourself a favor;if MSFT gives another dload; skip akami;and use your own download manager. I use free download manager. No setting up virtual temp files etc. It's free too! www.freedownloadmanager.org Jeff "chriske911" wrote in message ... why is it that this downmanager cannot save files outside the user's profile folder?
