Default Computer Doesn't Work after installing on program

I recently upgraded to Windows Vista 5472 and it stuffed up after the first
reboot. After trying many different things I decided to format my (C Drive
using the command prompt option in the Vista setup. I used the following
command: format C:\ . (without the fullstop!) I then installed windows
vista on my formated drive and the same problem occured. The problem is I
install one thing, lets say it NOD32, After installing it, it asks me to
restart my computer. I do so. Then it logs me on to my account and then
freezes. Can someone help me solve this problem? I'm typing this in safe mode
with networking (it works in safe mode). So if anyone can help me I will be
realy appreciative. Please Reply Soon! Thanks in advance.

Default Computer Doesn't Work after installing on program

I have now upgraded to RC-1 (5600) and before I reboot for the first time I
found out was was wrong. The anti-virus program NOD32 from Eset wouldn't work
and that stuffed my whole computer up. Now I use AVG but I've only got a
30-day trial and I'm not very impressed with the program. If anyone know's
when NOD32 will be out for Windows Vista can you please tell me! Thanks.
Also, is there a better anti-virus program for Windows Vista then AVG? Thanks
in Advanced.

AVG Free edition works fine in RC1, as does Avast Home 4.7, which is also
free.

AVG Free works OK, but not Avast Home 4.7. On my clean install (RC1 - 5600)
it refused to work
(compatibilty problem), even they say (Avast home page) it should work on
Vista.
