Help on uninstalling Vista proper
I want to un-install Vista before I clean-install Pre-SR1. Is there any way
to take off Vista AND the Boot Manager? I heard it's bad to just kill the partition. -- In the event of an emergency, walk, do NOT run, to the nearest System Restore point. |

The easiest way would probably to download Vista Boot Pro. There is an option
in there to remove the boot manager. Then format the partition. Other than that, I would probably format or kill the partition, then boot from an XP disk to recovery console and run the command fixboot That will rewrite the boot sector which will also kill the boot loader. Yes when you installed vista it made back ups of the boot loader. You just
need to turn off the following folder option to see the files "Hide protected operating system files" via tools options folder options. -- Take Care, Will "NeoDude" wrote in message ...
