I'm not sure who should be taken out to the woodshed - the architect that
decided the following is a good idea, or the coder who did such a horrible
job. It will cause all sorts of grief, IMHO.

What's worse now I can't reproduce the problem even though it has happened
several times!

Essentially what has happened is that I try to rename a folder that I some
how had open with another window. I get notified that I'll need permission.
I give permission. Then it goes into a loop of messages asking telling me it
can't do its thing and asking if I want to retry. When I select retry, I get
the same message again. When I closed the folder, I could rename it just
fine.

What little piece of Vista knowledge am I missing?

My issue with the coder is not putting enough information in the retry
message to allow me to fix the problem I.e. close the window or whatever.
IMHO giving out such info would not be a security issue.

I apologize for being so vague. Unfortunately, though this has happened
several times, I'm not able to reproduce the problem at the moment.
