Default Please help with my vista home premium

I have some files that I copy from my old computer that was Windows xp home
edition, now when I try to open them in my new computer, which is Vista home
premium, (I insert the cd in the E: ) nothing happen, how can I solve this
problem.

If they were 'backed up' using XP Backup, you will need to use XP backup to
get the files back. This applies to ALL backup utilities. You must use the
same program as was used in the backup/compression process..

If they are files in original form, ensure that you have the same or
compatible applications installed in Vista as you had in XP..
