My documents messed up, need help finding registry values!!
Okay, this is the situation, il keep it short. I changed the target path for my documents on the start menu ( location tab ) Tried doing it again..and the location tab is gone. Not only that but when navigating through the hard drive.. C:\Users\Respawns\Desktop It now says.. C:\Users\Documents\Desktop Now i cant install programs because the Application data tmp folder isnt where the programs think it is..its called Documents now instead of Respawns.. But i still login as Respawns! I've taken ownership of everything btw. I AM THE ADMIN. Just need to find the registry path for the start menu and change it through there. Thanks in advance guys i cant do anything ive just done a clean install and cant use any programs so please help! -- Respawns |

My documents messed up, need help finding registry values!!
Hi Respawns,
Option 1: Use the REG file here to reset the path for Documents/Picture/Music folders: http://www.winhelponline.com/article...tart-menu.html -or- Option 2: You can change the Documents path in the registry. See Method 2 he http://www.winhelponline.com/article...ows-Vista.html (Fix the value data for "Personal".) -- Regards, Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP [Windows Shell/User] The Winhelponline Blog: http://www.winhelponline.com/blog Windows® Troubleshooting: http://www.winhelponline.com "Respawns" wrote in message ...
