Default Icons in Pictures folders

Recently, all pictures in my Pictures folders appear as Extra Large icons.  They used to be Large icons.  Is there any way to set Large, or for that matter any other size, as the default for all files and folders?  Also, if there is a way, can the current icons be reset to Large.  I know that icons in individual folders can be changed.
