Default Lost Explorer Sidebar Shortcuts

Hey all - does anyone know how you get the shortcuts back in the sidebar
of explorer?

Just to show you what i'm going on about here's them from a screenshot
i'd taken a few days ago:

And now they're gone!

I can't 'drag n' drop' any on to it like i did before to make a
shortcut - i get a red barred icon.

Arrgh they were so handy!

oooookay, even worse

when i click 'music' in the start menu, i get an error or taken to a
music folder with nothing in it [!]

when i click pictures i'm taken to an empty folder

I did find both my music and picture files, in their 'music' and
'picture' folders, albeit buried under about 20 clicks of music links
music links music links etc....

How do i correct this? I've tried cutting, copying and moving the
folders from their bizarre new locations, but it just doesn't work.

uuuurgh

and even worse, i've been trying to delete this pesky looping folders
but i can't because "The source file name(s) are larger than is
supported by the file system" yada!

I'm actually -so- close to just wiping Vista off and going back to
Linux.

Is there anyway to delete these? i've tried cutting/copying/deleting
from various points in the loop etc nothing works.

i'm not worried about losing any music of photos etc cos i backed up
earlier today [thank gods!]

In the latter image, simply click on Joey in the address area, then click on
Documents, then click on Air Shortcuts.

There are obviously no Favorites in the Air Shortcuts folder.....
