Sound problem with Vista
I got my laptop (with vista home premium) december 07. It has since had to
undergo a full factory reset due an issue it had where it would jam up whilest playing a CD, then refuse to play anything for hours afterward, it would read nothing gthat was put in the drive. Now that its been reset, it seems to have developed a whole new set of quirks, such as its repetetive attempts to re-connect to the internet after ive switch off the wireless receiver. And it will play music files when its just WMP running by itself, but you try running the internets as well, and the sound goes wacko. It crackes, lags and jumps, only returning to normal when the net is off again. It does the same using winamp, and im baffled by its new weirdness...any help? -- "To err is human, but to really screw things up, you need a PC." ~ My mind is like a steel trap - rusty and illegal in 37 states. |

What sound card? When you use Task Manager to see how well your PC is performing during that usage - is the PC working too hard? -- Speaking for myself only.
