removable hard drive
hi
Please can anyone help, i brought a mass 500gb exturnal hard drive, which connects to my computer by usb, (i am running windows vista) it was working fine for a week or two then the hard drive stopped me from putting on any files or getting any files off it, it changed from a LOCAL DISK DRIVE to a REMOVABLE DRIVE which wont alow me to get any of my files from it or even open the drive can anyone tell me how to change it back to a LOCAL DRIVE many thanks Hoppy |

I can't tell you it'll work from personal experience, but it will only take a couple of minutes to try it. |

What does Disk Management say about that drive? Press Start, type "diskmgmt.msc", and press Enter. Post back if you need help in figuring it out. But study the screen and the Help file first.
