Any recommendations on APC products?
I'm thinking of purchasing APC-BR1500LCD-1500VA-Outlets-BACK-UPS and just curious if anyone has Pros & Cons on this model (or similar APC backup UPS) FOR: DELL XPS 420 Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 3GB RAM 32-bit OS Windows Vista Home Premium Dual 22-inch LCD Monitors ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ DELL INSPIRON E1505 2GB RAM Windows Vista Home Premium Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- cab3@209 |

Sounds good to me, however I will add one general observation. We have a UPS in our phone room at work and there is no air conditioning in there, the ambient temp is not good for the batteries that are lead / acid gel types. I rather think finding a well ventilated / cool place to put it would he'p you extend the life of the unit. BTW when batteries in such things need replaced you local "Interstate Batteries" store is probably cheaper than most. We use some medical equipment at work and the price difference between buying the same darned battery can be $100 or more... |
