Default .net framework 1.1

i installed vista enterprise on 12/1 (upgrade from XP Pro not clean install)
and i see in the add/remove programs folder .net framework 1.1 installed as
well on 12/1... 1.1 may have still been on the machine at update... i don't
specifically recall...

i don't see, however, v 3 which was on my system at the time of upgrade, and
which i thought was the default in vista...

should i download and install v 3, remove 1.1 ?? anyone have an idea about
this ?

thanks... m

Probably not. I know that 2.0 doesn't replace 1.1. You still need 1.1 for
some things. I'm not sure about 3.0.
