Default problem installing USB Mass Storage Device

Hi... how R U?? I have a trouble installing my USB memory... I have a gateway
laptop, with vista home basic, when i insert any usb memory, the system aks
me for drivers, why?? i think Vista has universal drivers. my devices are
Kingston, Transcend and Sandisk, and any of them are recognized....

Can U please help me, please??

You'll see that happen if any of them have U3 installed. The software
has to be updated for Vista compatibility. Not all of them have Vista
versions of U3, available though. We have a Sandisk Micro 1GB that's
like that. The memory should work anyway if you tell Vista to not
install a driver, but the USB drive may not behave as expected when you
want to remove it.
