Windows vista black screen of death
Could you please help me?
I have bought an HP pavilion laptop pc (dv 9500 entertainment notebook) but since SP2 installation I have found that It takes a very long time to start with a black screen and white cursor after windows welcome screen and I do not know what can I do to repair this error please help me. Many thanks in advance to everybody who tries to help me -- Dr Mokhaz

I hve only the built in recovery partition Which you cannot access, I presume. Do you get far enough to see F2 and F12 coming up? If so, press F12 and make your desired choice. Otherwise you and I may be in trouble and we'd have to rely on the gracious help of some more knowledgeable people in this group. Let us know how you've made out. H. many thanks.
