Sorry Mate, but your quad core can't be that great because my SINGLE core
Athlon 64 3700+ will run it perfectly rarely getting over 20%CPU usage when idle and rarely over 50% when I am doing normal work. This is while using a WMVHD vid from microsoft called Robotica. I only have 1GB of very slow RAM and my graphics is only a 6600 256MB from nVidia, so my specs aren't exactly brilliant. But if my PC beats one with a Quad Core processor... (sorry to use the recently coined cliche, but) WOW. That is quite cool. "Tim" wrote: Hi Dustin, whats your CPU utilization like with video background (butterfly)? its sucking my Quad core dry! I realized as soon as the CPU fan (which never comes on) started up at full speed. CPU's 1-3 ~15-20%, CPU 4 ~50% utlisation with nothing else going on and no other apps loaded. CPU goes back to normal when I change to static backdrop. tim "Dustin Harper" wrote in message ... Awesome. I've been playing with the beta for a while, and it's great. Thanks! It should make some people feel a little better thinking they got ripped off because it didn't come with it... -- Dustin Harper http://www.vistarip.com -- "Paul Smith" wrote in message ... If you check on Windows Update you'll find a per-release version of DreamScene for download. It ships with one video modeled off the default wallpaper. -- Paul Smith, Yeovil, UK.
