Yabbut:

We are sorry to inform you that a full feature driver for Windows
Vista or Windows XP Professional x64 Edition will not be available for
your HP product in the future.

How old is the scanner?

I'm amazingly lucky that my HP SJ5P ! scsi connected scanner works
fully under VISTA, as it did under XP and before, using the old
Deskscan 2.9 TWAIN software!

Hi,

Did you find any full featured software to use it with. I want to use it as
a scanner for documents, not pictures and want to get uncompressed (.bmp)
files. The old HP software worked fine, but they say they won't be producing
a full featured product for this scanner and I should buy a new one. I hate
to give this one up since it is the only one I can put on top of a heavy book
to scan a page.
