Can't view data disc content - tries to burn a new disc
I've got a Sony Vaio N series notebook, and I'm finding that I'm unable to
view content on data discs. This is a major problem when I need to install software as I can't do so without Window asking me if I want to burn a new disc. I've tried right-clicking and then clicking "explore," but no dice. It just keeps asking to burn. The closest I can get is searching for specific words like "setup" or "install." Any idea why this is happening and how I can change it? |

Can't view data disc content - tries to burn a new disc
Katilla:
You must be having a hardware problem in your CD driver/burner. Try cleaning your laser lens with a cotton swab embedded in alcohol or use a "cleaner CD" Maybe the laser is dirty. Do it at your own risk!!! Carlos "Katilla" wrote: I've got a Sony Vaio N series notebook, and I'm finding that I'm unable to view content on data discs.
