wireless adapter
I installed a d-link DWA-552 Wireless Adapter in my desktop (formerly
hardwired to the internet through a router) system so I could move it to another location with out hardwiring... Vista (Enterprise Edition) detected, downloaded, and installed the device perfectly... it works and I have good connectivity... HOWEVER... The whole systems locks up about every 30 minutes now... I made sure all the adapters/mouse/keyboard/ etc. don't do any power management... I disabled the existing ethernet adapter (no effect)... I have the monitor set to turn off at 10 minutes and hard disk at 20... the mouse doesn't want to bring the monitor back... I don't see any hardware errors in the event log... The system worked fine until installing the wireless adapter and you wouldn't think that device would cause other problems like this, so I'm hesitating removing it... Anyone got any ideas ?? Thanks... t |
