How can I restore windows mail to it's default "factory" status ? It seems
that you can restore some things and items cahnged but not the whole program.
If there is a way to do it please advise. Thanks

If you delete everything under this registry key then WinMail will start
fresh:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail

I would backup the key first.

What do you think Steve meant by "delete everything *under* this registry
key..."?

Hello Kenny,

Problem Two in this tutorial will help show you how to do this reset of
Windows Mail. Just do not backup and restore the Windows Mail settings
to have the default settings instead.

Hope this helps,

Kenny,

Can you right click on the link and click on "Copy Shortcut", then
right click in your web browser address bar and click on "Paste" to use
the link instead until you get Windows Mail fixed?
