Deleting a shortcut to a program that no longer exists
I had the same exact problem after uninstalling a program and trying to delete that oh so annoying shortcut on my desktop by dragging it to the recycling bin. What you can do is right-click your desktop and click "refresh". After doing this, my shortcut disappeared. Good luck! -- hkim295
