Default Choppy Video With HD WMV Files

I’m having a rather…interesting experience with HD .wmv files in Windows
Vista Ultimate and Business edition. Whenever I attempt to play a HD Video
(.wmv format) the video is really choppy and most of the times will freeze on
a single frame.

I thought at first it might just be a Windows Media Player problem, so next
I played the video using VLC Media Player…. still I got the same results.
However, when I opened the file using Windows Media Center on my Vista
Ultimate edition machine the video played just fine. While this is an
annoying solution to playing HD video in Vista; it would only work with the
editions of Vista that have Windows Media Center. Leaving my Business
edition machine in the dark.

The HD Windows Media Video files I’m downloading are really just your normal
Internet files. Such as the Halo 3 HD Trailer and some Half-Life 2: Episode
2 Trailers I downloaded using Valve’s Steam service. Does anyone know of any
thing I can do to fix this problem?

Site where I downloaded HD .WMV Files:

Thanks
