Product key for RC1
Firstly, this is not RC1, it is a restricted Pre-RC1 version. You must have
an existing key from the official Beta 2 program or from the MSDN subscriber website to install the Pre-RC1. If you have neither of these, you should wait for the RC1 which will be on general public release and should provide product keys. Mike Bernstein "Leonard" wrote in message ... I've downloaded RC1 ISO image and burn it to a DVD. But my beta product key is no longer valid. So where can I get the key for RC1? |

So, we can use the same Beta 2 key for Pre-RC1?

Are you sure you copied it exactly? The Beta 2 product key worked for me and
for many other users without any hitch. Mike Bernstein "Leonard" wrote in message ... I enter my beta2 product key, but the installer says it is not valid. Microsoft sent me a email yestarday morning telling me about the Pre-RC1 and
a new product key. That is how I learned of Pre-RC1. "Leonard" wrote: I've downloaded RC1 ISO image and burn it to a DVD. But my beta product key is no longer valid. So where can I get the key for RC1? |

Mike;
No key is necessary. If no key is entered, you are given a choice of which version, Ultimate, Starter etc. Without a key, it can not be activated so it essentially expires without activation in 2 weeks. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar http://www.dts-l.org "Mike Bernstein" wrote in message ...
