Default Pre-RC1 Install can't continue- Display is scrambled after install

All,
I have been trialing Beta 2 (x64). Yesterday, I downloaded Pre-RC1 and did a
clean install. At what appears to be the Windows Boot after install, the flat
panel display is unreadable. There are bright vertical lines on half the
display, and horizontal bars on the other. If I blindly select the ENTER
key, something changes, but then the PC reboots, and repeats this process.
RC2 (both x64 and x86) worked fine. I also tried an upgrade.
My Video card is NVIDIA FX500.
Any help is appreciated as I cannot evaluate what I cannot install!

Thanks.
