I saw a post for a limited 100,000 download for the pre RC1 download of
windows vista. I downloaded it and now i need the key. As everyone else is
asking how do I come across one?

Hello NathanN,

Unless you were part of the Beta 2 CPP you will not be able to get a key.
RC1 will be out in the coming weeks so please try and wait.

I'm about to install Vista and I'm hoping that I'll be able to get Pre-RC1
and a Key as well.

Ok, now does this mean that you had to have already installed vista as part
of the cpp, or just get a copy when it was made available from microsoft? And
from you post, I can assume that even if we were not able to install vista as
yet, we'll be able to participate in RC1?

Thanks!

Hello hselburn,

It just means that you had to be registered with MS so you get a product
key for Beta 2. The Beta 2 product key is what is used for Pre-RC1
