Vista Install BSOD - Nvidia nForce 4 Board
Hardware specs:
nForce 4 board Winxp on 2 SATA 80Gb drives in Raid stripe(160Gb), C:\ 2 40Gb PATA drives running individually, D:\ and G:\ Situation: attempting to install Vista (Beta 2, build 5348) to PATA drive D:\ select setup to install Vista to D:\ Files copy and computer reboots Problem: During vista boot into setup, system goes BSOD Try booting via safe mode and when system tries to load disk.sys, BSOD BSOD shows a note about a problem with the harddrive and recommends running CHKDSK Also, sometimes after allowing immediate retry of vista install, setup will tell me that Winload.exe (not 100% that is correct name, but close) was not found. Thanks for recommendations. |
