Default Restoring XP files on Vista

I backed up my XP data using XP's file and transfer wizard. I also backed up
the data using Windows One Care backup. I then did a clean install of Vista
and now I am trying to restore the XP data.

What are my options?

I'm in the same boat. It's like I use XPs Files and Settings Transfer Wizard
and save everything to an external hard drive. Then I install Vista which
isn't able to upgrade from XP so I have to do a total install which erases my
settings. So I finally get Vista installed and discover it won't accept XPs
Files and Settings Wizard. Instead it has a brand new files and settings
process. -- It's a chicken or egg conundrum...

Exactly the same problem here. Can't believe they missed that, did anyone
find a solution yet?

Fortunately, I also had an image of my prior XP setup on an external hard
drive and was able to restore back to that.... no thanks to Windows.
