please help! dvd burner recognized only as a DVD ROM
I bought a new computer with with a TSSH corp TS-H652D dvd-rw drive. the
drive worked fine when I got it with Vista home premium preloaded. I upgraded a few days later to vista ultimate and now the burning capabilities of the drive are not recognized by any of the included MS applications (DVD Maker, Media player, Media center etc). I have no third party burning software installed. I have been in contact with MS support and they have walked me though an in place upgrade, a complete custom install after formating the hard drive. We have tried searching for new drivers, firmware and have been unsuccessful. I have read about deleting the upper and lower registry files but they do not exist on my computer. There are also missing registry files for cd/dvd burning in the registry. MS is still researching the problem but it has been 2 weeks and no fix. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar problems or knows of anything else to try. Any suggestions are appreciated |
