Hi Or,

I am sorry to say that the Upgrade feature is not fully reliable yet. For
that you may have to wait for RC2 or RTM.

Good luck!

I've already tested that scenario in RC1, and from what i've understood, this
issue was before RC1.

Does anyone know what the compliance check do ?

Hi Or,

I have successfully gotten Upgrade to run (never well) in previous versions,
and like I said it is not completely ironed out. Try stopping all
unnecessary services before running it!

Are you booting to the CD or inserting from the Desktop?
I was unable to upgrade Windows XP Pro to Vista Build 5600 by booting to the
CD.
However the upgrade went fine when I inserted the CD at the Desktop and
followed the prompts for an upgrade.
