Vista Media Centre not scanning for tv channels
I recently bought a Pinnacle Dual DVB-T Diversity Stick (2000e) and cannot
get it to work with media centre on vista. With the TV program supplied by pinnacle the scan for channels works perfectly and can view all available digital terrestrial freeview channels in my area of UK. Media centre sees the dual tuner, sets up the TV part perfectly well, downloads a guide for it, up to this point exactly the same as my old xp desktop. The problem comes when it tries to scan for channels, the scanning bar comes up but after a short while, maybe 3,4 or 5 seconds, without actually moving the scanning bar from 0% to 100% it then says no services found, please ensure your TV signal is attached correctly. It must be attached, it works with pinnacles media centre, what I would really like is for it to work in windows media centre. I did read somewhere on Pinnacles site about some registry time out value used by media centre but by the time I got home I couldn't find it again. Has anyone any ideas on what I can try, or indeed what I might be doing wrong. Thx. |
