Can't connect to internet after installing
I just installed RC1. No problems installing. After the install I can't
connect to the linternet using IE7. I get the "this page cannot be displayed" error, although I can get the updates from Microsoft, so that means My internet connection is working. Has anyone seen a fix for this? I have no yellow question marks in Vista device manager so My NIC card is OK. I can get on the internet using XP but not in vista....I am duel-booting....can someone help me. -- J6 |

Can't connect to internet after installing
This was provided by Jane C to someone with a similar problem. Don't know
if applicable in your case as you don't provide any information as to you setup. Now, as to your problem with accessing websites, I had the same problem after installing XP x64. What I did was manually add my ISPs DNS server as alternative DNS server. My primary DNS server is my router address. That cured the problem of only being able to get to certain websites. We have fixed internal IPs here too, instead of obtaining them automatically from the routers DHCP. "J6" wrote in message ... I just installed RC1. No problems installing. Can't connect to internet after installing
If that doesn't work then try this:
- Click start - Type: cmd - Right-click cmd.exe when it appears under Applications - Click Run As Administrator - Type the following: netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled - Press enter - Restart your computer -- Jane, not plain 64 bit enabled Batteries not included. Braincell on vacation :-) "John Barnes" wrote in message ... This was provided by Jane C to someone with a similar problem.
