RC2 Download on 5728
Wasnt sure exactly where to place this, so I thought this would be the best.
I'm currently running build 5728 with a backup boot of RC1. While in 5728 I downloaded CR2 from the Microsoft website, and the download completed. When the download completed the icon disappeared from my Desktop (where I saved it) and I have not been able to find/recover it. The space is taken up, if I try to download again to the same location it asks if I would like to overwrite the file. I've searched both partitions as well as using the finder and nothing comes up. I even tried command line. Alas I'm now re-downloading the file on my XP machine. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. RC2 Download on 5728
Can you clarify what your suggestion to Microsoft is? I
have read this several times and I can't figure it out. As for your downloaded file disappearing, I have seen it posted before that it would become visible by changing the options for the Windows Explorer to show certain files, but I don't remember exactly what. Basically the problem is caused by the default settings and you can't see the file with the settings as they are. It was supposed to be a general comment. I had to enter this 3 times to get
it to post. "Theo" wrote: Can you clarify what your suggestion to Microsoft is? I have read this several times and I can't figure it out. RC2 Download on 5728
So, what is the purpose of the link to send a suggestion to
Microsoft for? What would someone agree to? Tim Starid wrote: It was supposed to be a general comment. I had to enter this 3 times to get it to post.
