Many of the shortcuts I had in the Start menu and on the desktop have changed to a generic icon and no longer run the programs they're supposed to run. I redid all of them except for two: New Office Document and Open Office Document. Does anyone know what causes the shortcut changes in RC1? i managed to extract my ISO file and burn it to a cd but it always failed to boot from the cd i made and when i check out the problem and double clicked the setup file it said that my OS is not compatible with the version of rc1. Lets see if anyone gets this. Last week suddenly when I started my laptop, all the fonts on my system started showing weird characters... Everything, from menu, icons, dialog boxes, everything! So I went into appearance and with a lot of guessing and hours, I was able to go to the classic box, where I was able to change the fonts for different aspects of windows.

System setup: XP MCE on a SATA HD Vista RC1 (Previously Beta 2) on IDE With MCE and Beta 2 I got the Multiboot Menu. Since installing RC1, the multiboot menu no longer appears, and in Vista (The only OS I can access) it only shows Vista as a valid Windows install.
