Pixelated Video!! by
iam
I was so having the same problem with that build, and not much helped it.
Mine would pixilate slow down and crash the system. The New build Pre RC
fixed it. for me. I have not seen that pixilation yet, but still get a lot
of cpu on some videos.
Just hold on a little bit longer, It is worth the wait.

Volume Mixers? by
Eck
That speaker mute when headphones are detected works with my Audigy 2 ZS
Platinum Pro. But it's not done by the Windows mixer. Rather the Creative
AudioConsole's setting to Mute Speakers When Headphones are attached.
That kind of thing probably needs manufacturer software to work.
It's a whole new Audio concept in Vista. Even with the updated Creative
drivers for Vista Beta 2 my mixers...

MP3 files in Windows Vista 5536 by
Matmatulao
Just installed Vista 5536. Strange problem occurs when I try to play any kind
of music files in Vista. Both Media player and Itunes play the files but the
whole system freezes after a while (20 to 30 seconds). Any suggestions?
previous build I was using was 5472 and no such problem happened.

Remove video thumbnail on Windows Explorer by
aristofeles
Is there a way (registry hack maybe?) to stop Windows Explorer from creating
the thumbnails for video files? I know I can select the option to "Always
show icons, never thumbnails", but that will also remove the image thumbs.
What I'm looking for is a XP-like operation.

Vista Beta Media Center and XBOX 360 Extender by
Anon
Chris I'm also having similar problems on build 5536 of Vista Ultimate:
1. No caching. Performance miserable. Especially with 200gig+ of mpeg4-asp
avi's that it wants to thumbnail and generally bring my sys to a grinding
death.
2. Every time I want to optimise the 360 using the optimise within settings,
the 360 gets disconnected and nothing appears to happen.
3. Really, WMV and mpeg1/2...

help capturing video from camera into Windows Movie Maker by
print_maker
Does your camcorder only have a USB connection, or does it also have 1394
(firewire)?
If it has both, the USB is often only for taking files off a memory card and
what you want to use is the 1394 connection.

Build 5472: Can't "fix" pictures in Gallery Viewer any more by
Don Awalt
Now, whenever I try to do any Fixes in Gallery Viewer (like Red eye
fixes), I get an error message "Changes to this picture have not been
saved because an original can't be created". I have full permissions to
the pictures, am a Domain Admin and it's a domain computer, pictures are
not read-only.
Any ideas?
