Bitlocker Set-up Problem by
Steve
When using the Bitlocker Drive Preparation tool on an existing Vista Ultimate
installation, I'm unable to get the system to start from the new partition.
The tool seems to do it's stuff, but when restarting, all I get is a "Missing
Operating System" error message when the laptop trys to start. I boot with
the Vista DVD and then attempt a repair, but the only way to get back into
Vista is to...

Vista Internet Security Issues by
Mick Walker
Hi All,
I am having a strange problem, which I have to date been able to
reproduce on three separate machines.
The problem lies in browsing when using a limited account. It seems that
even when internet security settings are set to the lowest possible
settings, that pages that utalise the Telerik RAD Control suite
(www.telerik.com) for ASP.Net do not display correctly.

Can't Delete Folder by
JamesJ
Just installed Vista Home Presidium, upgraded from XP. I'm trying to move
and/or
remove a folder that was created by Vista in the Programs menu but Vista
tells me I need permission to perform this action. I checked the folder
security
and found the Full control is checked for all but are disabled.
Also since I upgraded from XP Vista retained the Documents and Settings
folder.
Any way to remove...

2 Icon for every user by
A-B-C
Hi,
My Vista computer logon shows 2 icons for every user e.g. 2 icons for Admin,
2 icons or User-A and 2 Icons for user User-B (only one account was created
for all of them).
When I switch users, it also shows 2 icons for user-A are logged on.
Is there a fix for this?
Cheers

How to renew Norton Internet Security by
[email protected]
If I buy a new PC with Vista and it comes with free 60 days of updates
for Norton Internet Security 2007 including firewall, what exactly do
I have to purchase after 60 days? Do I have to purchase new Norton
Internet Security software or just buy a subscription to updates? Do I
have to purchase a new firewall, or a firewall update?
Is it true that if you already own Norton Internet Security,...

"Logon Failure" when running executables on NAS by
Lynn Henderson
I have a Linux-based NAS running Samba with user-level password
protection (the same userid and password as Vista). I can browse files,
etc., but I am unable to run any executable files. UAC prompts me for
approval, but then give me a "Login failu unknown username or bad
password" error. It must be a UAC issue because I have no problems when
I turn UAC off, but I'd like to leave it...

Connection problem by
vovan[_2_]
My VB 6 program uses this connection string to connect to the server:
user id=coord;data source=GS;persist security

It works fine on all XP machines, but it doesn't work on only some of Vista
Business machines. It says Server doesn't exists or access denied. On some
other Vistas it works.
When I replace the name of the SQL Server with...
