Default Maintance Problem

Hi All new here I have a few questions

I have a Dell Dimension 4600i p4 2.8 32bit system
it was given to me with a broken motherboard, I played with it and got
it running long enough to install Vista Business 6.06.6000 everything
works good except the sound(No sound). Now the hard part I have gotten
my hands on a used motherboard same size but is a p4 1.7

How do I use the better processor and the 2.8 after swapping out the
board,, is this possable..??

could someone tell me what to do and what I need to back up system etc.
to do this

maybe a step step walk throught ......LOL

Thanks for any help or suggestions

Don

Default Maintance Problem

Hi,

It's only possible to use the other processor if they are of the same
pin/socket configuration, the motherboard has to support it. As you are
making a major system change, you will likely need to reinstall Vista.
